NOVEMBER 2009

Revolutionaries is still on sale and doing well despite getting NO promotion... if you have read it and liked it then please tell your friends, ask if your local bookshop stocks it or even write a review for the net / Amazon / Literary Sites... thanks!!!

The 5 site is being update and expanded - now featuring a Free Download version of 'REVOLUTIONARIES' for those who didn't buy a copy and hate reading HTML... the download version features the proper Chapter Covers featuring the music sleeves of the music in that section.

A Silver Age Comix Gallery is available witin the Reolutionaries site and a Cult TV one is due shortly.

The full OST promo CD is now available to download [mp3 format & ipod ready] featuring 23 tracks which comprise the Chapter Titles.

Finally a set of Video and Radio Shows are about to be uploaded and made avaailable for both streaming and download.

Revolver will not be completed until 2010 - the next Jack Blade novel will probably be "13" ...an unusual horror tale!

JUNE 2008

Revolutionaries is on sale and doing well - Currently nominated as 'Best Novel 2008' for the Costa Book Awards

Sadly, due to pressure of work, work on THE 5 site has fallen behind BUT...

during the Summer, EMPIRE TV will begin - small initially but it will be entertaining and feature a wide variety of fascinating material - GET ON IT AND STAY TUNED!!!

50% of REVOLVER is completed and it's BIGGER, DARKER and SEXIER than 'REVOLUTIONARIES' ...and people you like die in this one!

Also during the Summer, there will be a series of Book Reading taking place throughout the UK - more information as and when.

Well, it's been a lot longer than anticipated - but that's the price we pay for getting REVOLVER underway!

THE GOOD NEWS - REVOLUTIONARIES SHOULD BE AVAILABLE FROM AMAZON AND ALL GOOD BOOKSHOPS BY THE END OF MARCH

The 5 site has been fully updated and if you can find The Hidden Zone then there will be a couple of surprises there including a sneak preview of a section of REVOLVER [which won't be out until the end of 2009 ]

The Jack Blade Organisation is expanding and will be setting up a Bulletin Board system for all users of the 5 site and finally getting the 5 Radio Station up and running - it will, of course, be pretty insignificant at first but bit by bit will grow!

THE BIG IDEA

Okay - the site's new and everything takes a while BUT keep coming back because in the near future there's going to be a little Internet Radio Station playing a stack of the music that'is featured in the soundtrack from the book AND slices of NOW that you may or may not care for!!! There will also be some original programming and eventually we're going to want external contributions [but not right noww - we have to get the big fat money to pay for the bandwidth we need to go global] Another thing that matters is unsigned acts and talent [and not in the tryly sphincter clenching and genital mashing manner of the turgid reality shows you pretend that you don't watch], this will be somewhere that we play and plug the things we like... if you wanna be oh so cool like the Arctic Monkeys [remember these guys play the same kind of music your parents listen to] or if you're a red hot Lily Allen with a Cornish accent, then I'd suggest you waste your time somewhere else - this will be somewhere for people who want to be first rate originals rather than second rate crap wannabe copies of Acts that had past their sell by date in the womb!!! [But send us a sample of what you're doing anyway, we could be wrong... it's been known to happen - mainly to other people but it's been known to happen!

It's also projected that there will be an experimantal TV station - some of which will definitely be over 18s only [mainly for legal reasons - nothing more].

We also want your feedback about the site and anything else you care about - hopefully we can get a Bulletin Board going and some kind of community activated here.

Obviously this part of the site is dedicated to plugging the Trilogy of novels of The 5 [yeah, just like the famous 5 except with Razors and Handguns] and it is hoped you will read it, enjoy it, get inspired and create something yourself so you don't spend your entire life as a voyeuristic bystander, consuming the scraps of mediocrity that multi nationals throw your way to make sure you stay wide asleep [If that's too hard to comprehend then dig out a copy of John Carpenter's 'THEY LIVE' because it's not too far from the truth]. Oh, did I mention that it'd be really handy if you bought a copy of the book because we have a desperate need for the money and the Publisher is a very nice man who could also benefit from a new Ferrari or two [although he will probably forego that pleasure and merely plough it back into his ever growing Publishing business because he knows that it's better to create, inspire and assist than it is to suck the life out the suckers and smirk all the way to the bank] - Remember, money never buys you happiness... just a better class of misery!

Maybe that's enough self indulgence for the moment - but remember to come back for more soon! This is the place that will be regularly updated and the world will be set to rights [probably not actually] - we all might be part of the LAST GENERATION so let's try not to blend into the LOST GENERATION... the future is woth fighting for!!!

So, let's start the Revolution here - you can either get on board or continue sleeping until some shrewd Corporate Multinational buys it up or steals the buzz and you end up consuming it anyway!
